Updates coming soon ~ 6/13/17

(not sure if the following information is still accurate…)

First Saturday Vigil: After attending the 7 am Mass at EWTN (or the parish of your choice), meet at Planned Parenthood at 9:00 for a rosary vigil. We pray the entire rosary, so dress for the weather, bring something to drink, and consider a folding chair. Children are welcome.

Third Saturday Vigil: After attending the 8 am Mass at St. Stephen’s (or the parish of your choice), meet at Planned Parenthood at 9:00 for a rosary vigil. We pray the entire rosary, so dress for the weather, bring something to drink, and consider a folding chair. Children are welcome.

40 Days for Life: Twice a year, in the spring and in the fall, there is a forty-day prayer vigil outside Planned Parenthood from 6 am until 6 pm. Children are welcome. The Fall Campaign ended November 3; the Fall Campaign will begin September 23 and ends November 1. Janice has proposed that the Confraternity take an hour on Fridays from 10 to 11 am. “Fridays are busy abortion days. Usually around 40 babies die and 40 families are wounded. Bring your babies and perhaps a mother will choose life just by looking at your baby. Even for those mothers that have the abortion, at least you could be there praying for them and for their child.” Here is the local link:  http://www.40daysforlife.com/birmingham/  And here is the national link: http://www.40daysforlife.com/

Next March for Life: I do not have a date for the next annual local March for Life, except that we know it will be on a Saturday in January 2016. Traditionally, the day begins with Mass at the Cathedral of St. Paul at 9 am. A rally follows in Brother Bryan Park on Southside beginning at 10:45; there will be refreshments (usually hot chocolate and Krispy Kreme donuts). The march will begin at noon. This is a family event.
